RICHFIELD — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced that Interstate 41 will be partially closed from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. each night beginning Saturday for bridge painting of the U.S. 45 bridge.

According to the WisDOT release, the I41 northbound will be closed for painting between the U.S. 45 split and Wisconsin Highway 145, starting on Saturday, from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. The closures are expected to continue through late October.

The detour for I-41 southbound around the closure will be to exit I-41 southbound at the WIS 145 exit. Then, turn eastbound (left) onto WIS 145 and follow it to the U.S. 45 entrance. Turn onto U.S. 45 southbound and follow it to merge back onto I-41 southbound.

According to the release, the project timeline is weather dependent, and may change. WisDOT will also be taking steps to minimize noise and dust from the project.
