Major donors for the project include the Jack and Karen Kellner family, Ellner family, Randy and Hope Groth family and Cedarburg Baseball Inc. Other significant donors include the Cedarburg Athletic Booster Club, Rick Buser-Maxwell’s, Newman Chevrolet-the Curran family, Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Club, Sharon and Bill MaMacchia and the Cedarburg Lions Club.
Brandon Hall and Eric Baker, representing the Cedarburg Mercs youth baseball program, cut the ribbon at a recent ceremony opening the new turf baseball diamond at Jack Friess Field at Cedarburg High School. Members of the Mercs held the ribbon.
