OCONOMOWOC — While the wait for tacos and margaritas is not over, a major step was taken this week as MSI General began construction work on Fiesta Cancun Mexican Restaurant and Bar in downtown Oconomowoc.
Fiesta Cancun, 159 E. Wisconsin Ave., was forced to close after a fire ripped through the building on March 10, 2023. Although owner MSI General said in December they were hoping for a Cinco de Mayo (May 5) reopening, that is no longer realistic. Debbie Contreras-Tadych said Tuesday she had not heard an updated timeline from MSI General, but that she is eager to find out.
Before MSI General was able to begin work on the building, Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling first cleared the space of fire-damaged walls and ceilings.
