Edith (Edie) Bottleman Schwalbe, 83, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 3, 1941 in Hartford, Wisconsin, to Frank and Alice Klein.

Edie married John Bottleman on April 28, 1962. They raised two children together and spent 48 wonderful years with one another before John’s passing in 2010.Ìý

On February 18, 2023, Edie married Russ Schwalbe.Ìý

Edie enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards and other games. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities and cheering them on in their sporting events. Time spent gardening, especially working with her flowers, was a favorite way to spend her time. She enjoyed fishing and hunting, as long as she didn’t have to shoot anything.ÌýÌýÌý

Edie is survived by her husband, Russ; her two children: Chris (Bruce) Taylor and Don (Holly) Bottleman; six grandchildren: Brian Bottleman, Bradley Bottleman, Quinton Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Nathan Taylor, and Katie (Bryce) Conwell; and one great-granddaughter, Callie; her sister. Rosie Heder; and sister-in-law Paula Bottleman. She is further survived by stepchildren: Keith A. (Wendy) Schwalbe and their children, Kayla (Taylor), Katie (Andy) and Karley; James R. (Traycie) Schwalbe and their children, Amberly (Zach), Colten, Kesleigh, Westin, Scott D. (Lori) Schwalbe and their children, Jenna, Abby, Cooper, Lilly; and Susan L. (William) Tucknott and their children, William and Reina.ÌýÌý

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John; her brothers-in-law Robert Bottleman and Kenneth Heder; sister-in-law Rita (Hank) Rosin; and nephews Jim Rosin, Mike Rosin and Scott Heder.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 - 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 55 Prairie Road, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin 54935.

SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Weigand will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Rienzi Cemetery.
