Ruth M. Lubbert (nee Dost) age 96, of the Town of Erin, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend, Wisconsin.
Ruth was born on March 11, 1928, in Green Bay, WI, to her parents Walter and Myrtle (nee Reminger) Dost.
Ruth attended Plat Elementary School and graduated from Hartford Union High School. She married Harvey Lubbert in 1949, and lived on the family farm where she raised her two children, Shirley and Robert. Ruth worked at Hartland Plastics for 30 years and eventually retired from Sussex Plastics. She enjoyed bus trips with her friends, gardening, canning, crocheting and knitting, solving puzzles, and spending her summers at the Monches Ball Park watching baseball.
Ruth is survived by her children, Shirley (Mike) Janichek, Bob (Jeanne) Lubbert; sister, Barbara Wollermann; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She is further survived by other loved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Harvey Lubbert; parents, Walter and Myrtle Dost; brothers, William and Walter Dost; and grandsons, James and Chistopher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Monches Recreation Club (P.O. Box 161, North Lake, WI 53064) are greatly appreciated.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until the start of service at 6:00 p.m.
