After his discharge from the service, he began working for the United States Postal Service in Pewaukee and Oconomowoc. He retired from the Post Office in 1992. After his retirement, Ed enjoyed being the caretaker for many homes on Pine Lake. Long lasting friendships were made with the residents he served. Community was always very important to Ed.
